I am a writer. I have always loved to write. And I have been writing since I could hold a pencil in my "sinister" left hand. As a child, I once spent an entire day transcribing Superman 2 for the sheer joy of filling up a whole notebook with my scrawl (we had VCRs back in that day, so it was an even more tedious task than you can imagine), and wrote a script for my favorite cartoon that I am still convinced was somehow stolen from me. (There is no way the writers would have thought about hatching a love affair between two antagonists if my eight-year-old brain hadn’t suggested it, right!?)
So it's been blissful writing From CIA to CEO: What a Career in Espionage Taught Me about Life, Business & Entrepreneurship because I get to do what I have always been drawn to (writing, sharing, and offering strong, informed insights) for people I have always been drawn to: bold, ambitious women with brimming brains and overflowing spirits.
In the book you'll find CIA-inspired wisdom for living your mission and thriving under pressure. And you'll get lots of practical, actionable tips that you can implement to create success for your whole life. We are not compartmented people, despite what we tell ourselves. There is no work-life balance, just life-life balance, and you get to choose which pieces go on which side of the scale and which weights change and shift as life does. My aim is that by reading From CIA to CEO... you will see how to bring harmony to those scales and design your environment so you can live your best life and be your best self.
